PetStarShip separates editorial recommendations from affiliate revenue. A merchant commission can never buy a ranking, a positive recommendation, or a claim that we tested a product.
How We Choose Products
For research-based guides, we look at category relevance, material and size information, product purpose, public rating and review signals, recurring buyer concerns, safety-sensitive wording, and whether the product fits a clear use case. We prefer products that make comparison easier for readers: clear sizing, clear materials, clear use cases, and clear merchant policies.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not copy merchant descriptions as our own review.
- We do not claim hands-on testing unless we actually inspected or used the product.
- We do not recommend restricted, counterfeit, unsafe, or misleading products.
- We do not let commission rate decide the editorial recommendation.
Corrections and Updates
Product availability, prices, sizes, colors, and return terms can change on merchant sites. If you find outdated or inaccurate information, email [email protected]. We review correction requests and update pages when the evidence supports a change.
